Spent a couple of days away in Malacca and we stayed at the lovely Puri Hotel in Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock in Banda Hilir. A walk around the corner took us past a little alley full of bars and cafes that were small and cosy, that ranged from rastafarian casual, to light and dark chic, to jungle-bar comfy. Then, a streetfull of market and red lanterns. ALthough brief and not that relaxing, it was a break and one that was good for the mind too.
