I am trying to figure out how to go to a specific spot in the page. Does it mean I have to mark the desired link itself as well?

to link to a specific part of your post, you'll need a html "anchor" code.
but if u mean how to link just to a single entry, its the link code on ur timestamp eg. http://chrisoro.blogspot.com/2005/12/fever-dies-down-and-new-flu-rises.html
