i'm anais

Daughter Two is starting to speak in fuller sentences, and it's becoming more and more clear that her character is a little deeper rooted in the dark side than Daughter One.

Because she has to compete with D1 for conversation time, she always begins or ends her statements with "I'm anais", just to make sure i know who is talking now, or at least know that she is interjecting and requires my attention now.

My mother has been with us for a week and every time i came home she'd relate, a little bemused, D2's latest efforts as the Shauki family's latest raconteur.

"Do you know what she said to me today? "As far as I'm concerned, yaya." She said that to me," my mum tells me as I flop on the sofa. "And yesterday she told me to be serious".

Amused but not too impressed, it was only after we got into the car for a drive that i felt the full force of her personality. She and D1 were squabbling over territory in the back seat when she finally turned towards me, furrowed her brow and pursed her lips, making her cheeks stick out even more, crossed her arms and said, "Mia wants to destroy me."

Lovey, C
